Judith Bogle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Crematorium and Cemetery on Mar. 31, 2026.
Judy Bogle, 81, of Eugene, Oregon, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2026, from Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. Judy was born in Iowa City, Iowa to Henry Milton Black and Laura Mae Camm on December 23, 1944. She graduated from Regina High School, and married her first husband, Carl W. Carmichael, in 1963; then moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1965. She married her second husband, John J. Bogle, in 1984, and moved to Tigard, Oregon. She worked as a bookkeeper for most of her career. She returned to Eugene to live with her children in 2022, after the loss of her husband John.

Judy is survived by her three children Christine Annette "Christy" Carmichael (Troy Shaw), Camela Rae "Cammy" (Carmichael) Pelletier, and Carl Howard Carmichael; by her two grandsons Charles P. Pelletier and Nicholas W. Pelletier; by her stepdaughter Elizabeth Bogle; and by her stepsister Cheryl Dyer and half-siblings Doralee Erickson, Henry Black, George Black, and many more extended family members.

Judy was preceded in death by both of her parents, her second husband John Bogle, her brothers Gary Black, Quentin Black, and Kenny Black, and her half-brothers Kurt Black and Eddie Black.

Her joys in life were the family dogs, her children and grandchildren, gardening, and feeding birds and squirrels. She fought this disease bravely, and kept a sense of humor as long as she could. She was an extremely caring, giving, and loving person, and brought joy to all our lives. We will always miss her dearly.
