Judith Lee Carson, loved by all who knew her, peacefully passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 86. She was a remarkable woman whose legacy will live on through the many lives she touched. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jean (Vorce) Carson, and her brother, Joel Clarke Carson. She leaves behind a family that cherished her deeply, including her beloved sister-in-law, Mary Lou Carson, and her nephews, Darrell (Coriann) and their children Drew (Dani) and Paige; Robert (Ammie) and their daughter Grace; and Kenneth (Sandy) with their son Cameron. Additionally, she is survived by two great grandnieces, Willow and Oakley, the daughters of Drew and Dani, who will carry forward her spirit of love and kindness. Throughout her life, Judith was a dedicated educator at the Indiana School for the Deaf, where she poured her heart into teaching and empowering her students. Her commitment to service extended beyond the classroom as she was actively involved in the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and the Indiana Chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (ICRID). Judith also played a pivotal role in developing the American Sign Language interpreting program at Vincennes University, shaping the future of countless aspiring interpreters. In addition to her work in education, Judith was fiercely passionate about advocating for those affected by HIV/AIDS through her involvement with the HIV/AIDS Coalition. Her caring nature and dedication to helping others shone brightly, and she was an ordained minister at The Church Within, offering solace and guidance to many. A celebration of Judith's beautiful life will be held on January 12, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple, located at 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, 46220. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at 11:00 AM, preceding a service honoring her legacy at 12:00 noon. Judith Lee Carson will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
