Judith Joan Chandler, age 90, passed away on August 24th, 2025, at The Views of Marion. A memorial service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel on Saturday, August 30th beginning at 2:00 P.M.
Judith was born to George and Mary "Evelyn" Kerns on December 7th, 1934. She was united in marriage to Richard Chandler in 1995 at Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
She was employed by Smulekoff's for many years, working in sales up until her retirement.
Mom loved to paint, play golf, entertain her friends and family, and travel with her husband Rick. A few places her and Rick traveled to included Hawaii, Europe, where they visited the Vatican and Africa. She was always ready for an adventure. Rafting and parasailing were just a few of her fun activities. She enjoyed sitting on her back porch, enjoying nature with her wine and cheese. Her favorite song was "I Did It My Way" by Frank Sinatra. It accurately depicted how she lived her life. Most importantly, family was the main priority in her life. Holidays were the most special when family gathered for feasting and fun.
She always reminded everyone when it was "Time to go home".
Judith is survived by her children, Michael Carlton, Kathryn (Luke) Durnan, Matthew (Tina) Carlton, Mark (Jenny) Carlton and Kelly Carlton; Stepchildren Caroline (Jim) Hasty of Lake City MN, Philip Chandler of West Lake Village, CA and Frank Chandler of Blue River, WI; Grandchildren; Great grandchildren; Step Grandchildren; and special friend Pam.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Chandler; Son Martin Carlton; and special friend Maxine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or The Views of Marion.
