Ivan Chandler Obituary
Born in Fort Thomas on January 9, 1984, he was the son of Beverly Chandler and the late "Big Ivan" Barry.
Ivan was a graduate of Newport High School and later attended classes at Northern Kentucky University and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. He worked for Amazon.
Ivan had a passion for basketball and was an avid fan of Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant. He also loved cheering for the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Golden State Warriors. Music was another important part of his life. He especially enjoyed the music of Nipsey Hussle, 2Pac, and Jay-Z, and he also spent time producing music of his own.
In addition to his father, Ivan was preceded in death by his Papaw AK, Grandpa Ed, Uncle Charlie, and Aunt Faye.
He is survived by his loving mother, Beverly; his brother, Boobie; his grandmothers, Donna and Myrna; his uncles, Plookie, Steve, Tony, Chris, and Tez; his aunts: Pam, Pudgie, Celeste and Candy; his cousins: Scooter, Afton, Anna, Alex and Toy and his nephews, Zion, Amarie, Ronnell Jr. and Legend, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Ivan loved ALL his little cousins.
Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Gangsters Speakeasy, 18 East 5th Street, Newport, KY 41071.
