Ms. Daugherty was born in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Daugherty and the late Naomi Ruth Begley Daugherty. She was preceded in death by her two grandchildren Joseph & Kathryn Reid Boyd and brother James "Jim" Francis Daugherty. Survivors include two sons, Todd Boyd (Anne Reid) of Boston, MA, Ryan Boyd of Winder, GA, and one daughter Bridget Adkins (Keith) of Jefferson, GA. In accordance with Ms. Daugherty's wishes, she will be cremated, and a gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family asks you please consider giving the gift of life by donating blood or platelets at your nearest American Red Cross. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the many anonymous blood and platelet donors whose generosity sustained Mom through countless transfusions.
