Judith Doty Obituary
She was born on July 11, 1945 in Franklin, to Charles and Velma Blum Galland.
On Jan. 28, 1984, Judy married Arthur Doty in Fort Madison and he passed away on Jan. 28, 2001.
Judy worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. and retired after 30 years of service.
She loved to garden and also enjoyed baking.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Kirk) Wenck of Fort Madison; three grandchildren, Brenda (Adam) Vander Helm of Des Moines, John (Syd) Nagel of West Des Moines and David Nagel of Burlington. One great-granddaughter, Elsie Vander Helm; two stepsons, Dennis (Gillian) Doty and Tom (Robin) Doty of Dixon, Mo.; step-grandchildren, Tamara, Stephanie, Nathan, Caleb and Isaac; step-great-grandchildren, Ian, Derek and Brynlee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son in infancy; stepson, Jim Doty; sister, Marlene Burnett and brother, Hilbert Galland.
The family will meet with friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
