Judith Ann Dudley, a cherished soul and beloved matriarch, passed away on May 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, creativity, and determination. Born on July 1, 1945, in Avoca, Texas, Judith lived a life that was both vibrant and meaningful, marked by her unwavering passions and profound connections with family.

Judith devoted many years of her career to Bank of America, demonstrating her commitment and strong work ethic. In addition, she embraced her artistic side as a hairdresser, where she had the privilege of beautifying others and brightening their days. Her talents extended far beyond her professions; she was also a master gardener who found immense joy in nurturing her plants, an art enthusiast who appreciated beauty in all its forms, and a skilled seamstress whose creations brought life and warmth to her family.

Judith's greatest pride stemmed from her son, Aaron Dudley, II, and his wonderful family, including her grandsons, Samuel Evan Dudley and Kace Aaron Dudley. She often expressed how these relationships were the pinnacle of her accomplishments, each moment spent with them a treasure that filled her heart with joy.

Family significance ran deep for Judith. She is survived by her son Aaron and his wife Lindsey, who always stood by her side, embracing her with love and support. Her grandsons, Samuel and Kace, brought her endless happiness and were frequent sources of joy in her life. Her brother, Clarence Hobbs, and his wife Camille, were not just family, but dear friends who shared the many joys and challenges of life with her. Extended family that meant so much to her, Ricky Parker, Walter Williamson, and Lil’Walt.

Judith's passions were not limited to her career and family. She was deeply devoted to her dogs, pouring love into their care and reveling in their companionship. Her personality shone brightly through her myriad hobbies, captivating everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She now joins her beloved departed family members, her parents, Kenneth C. Loomis and Edith Huffaker Loomis, as well as her daughter, Samantha Dudley, who preceded her in death. Their legacies live on through Judith and the love she imparted to those she touched.

A memorial service to honor Judith's extraordinary life will be held at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation in Gastonia, NC, on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 5:00 pm to the service to celebrate the remarkable woman she was.  Friends, family, and all whose lives were enriched by Judith’s presence are invited to visitation from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Though Judith has departed from this world, her spirit, her laughter, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Judith Ann Dudley was a beacon of kindness, a swirl of creativity, and a loving mother and grandmother; her memory will be dearly held and cherished forever.
