Judith Ann Eekhoff was born on April 4, 1943, in Renwick, Iowa, the daughter of William Clarence and Adah (Packard) Erwin. She attended Boone Valley High School and graduated in 1961. On September 7, 1962, she was united in marriage to Henry E. Eekhoff at the Wright Christian Reformed Church in Kanawha, Iowa. Judy and Henry lived in several places throughout their marriage and to this union, two daughters were Robin and Rhonda.

Judy spent her life devoted to her faith and her family. A majority of her life was spent sitting in her favorite spot on the bleachers watching Henry live out his passion for coaching, then went on to do the same for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Even when she couldn’t go anymore, she wanted nothing more than to go.

Judy carefully crafted each outfit she wore which always included lots of sparkle and a plethora of matching accessories. She loved coffee any time of day, afternoons filled with shopping, and evenings spent playing cards. She spent years hosting Card Club with her friends and roasted 100’s of pots of coffee for visitors. Sundays were spent going to church and faithfully making Sunday dinners for family. She looked forward to sitting around the table and seeing anyone who could make it; treasuring a quick catch-up whenever it came her way. Judy worked at Keith M Merrick in Sibley for over 30 years. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Sibley.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of sixty-two years, Henry Eekhoff of Sibley, Iowa; two daughters, Robin (Charlie) Johnson of Sibley, Iowa, and Rhonda Erickson of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Chrissi (Scott) Wiersma, Brock Hindt (fiancée, Tempest McClellan), Jacci Hindt, Kayla (Jason) Pitt, Kendrew Erickson, and Kyler (Megan) Erickson; seventeen great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kaeden, Landyn, and Craven; Nash, Macklynn, Laney, Ellie, Zoee, Razzy, Kambry; Addison, Jax, and Bryant; Lincoln and Truman; and Isla Erickson; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Lester; brother-in-law, Don Lester; nephew, Curtis Lester; and her parents, William Clarence and Adah Erwin.
