Judith Griffith Obituary

JUDY GRIFFITH went to be with our Lord Jesus January 21, 2026. We thank you Father for sharing her with us and the path she set for each of her children, grandchildren; and for the Godly life she led with love, compassion, generosity, and quite strength.
Judy and Leon met during their freshman year of high school at 14 and 15 years of age. They have journeyed together for 71 years, 65 of those in marriage, from Kentucky and throughout Ohio, settling in Lima, OH where they are members of the Cable Road Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Judy was a beautiful sister (Don), mother (Bob, Todd, and Nichole), and aunt to many nieces and nephews in the Griffith and Leibee families. She supported and guided us with patience through celebrations, laughs, and sadness.
She joyfully poured love, comfort, and wisdom into her grandchildren, (Cory, Ella, Lucas, Hope, and Josef), and into the lives of so many others she claimed as her own, including the Bolon family. To Judy, family is never limited by blood; it is expanded by love.
Jesus, we know you have welcomed her home, reuniting her with her parents, Donald and Betty Leibee, resting peacefully beside you. Let us remember Judy with gratitude and celebration for her laughter, her gentle spirit, soft southern accent, and the way she reflected your abundance and peace. We remember her on sun-warmed beaches, in the Eastern Kentucky mountains, enjoying music and home-cooked food, and in the simple, warm-hearted acts that blessed our lives.

"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace"
Amen

Yesterday

We've known Judy and Leon since 1981 when we started going to Cable Road Alliance Church. They were the first people to greet us and Judy with her beautiful smile and that southern accent, we knew we would be close friends forever. We went on a mission trip together with the youth group and have been in Sunday school class together for years. I remember my son, Justin Buchanan, and his buddies always called Judy the "Silver Fox" and loved being around her. We are definitely going to miss that sweet smile and her chuckle. But we thank the Lord for taking her home. Until we meet again Mike and Ann Buchanan

We knew Judy through church at Cable Road Alliance Church. Such a sweet lady with a great smile. We would often run into her and Leon at MEIJER and talk awhile. Condolences to Leon, their children etc. May your fondest memories sustain you in the coming days, for surely she is Heaven bound.
