Judith Linda Halstead

Judith "Judy" Linda Halstead, age 81, of Sebewaing, passed away December 24, 2025, peacefully with her family by her side.

Judy was born April 12, 1944, in Bay City, to the late Albert and Linda (Armbruster) Bach. She was confirmed and was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sebewaing where she was also a member of the Mary Martha Guild. She attended Sebewaing High School, graduating in 1962. She went on to nursing school. Upon graduating, she worked at General Hospital in Bay City. Later she worked at the Sebewaing Medical Clinic.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, touring Europe, where her son and family live. She also enjoyed spending time outside working in her garden and with flowers. She further took several small trips with her 4 sisters.

She was united in marriage to James Halstead of Bay City on September 26, 1965. He preceded her in death in 2010. Together they raised three wonderful sons.

She is survived by sons, Kirk (Karin), Brent (Christine) and Sean Halstead. Five grandchildren: Lauren Fletcher, Erica Halstead, Nathan Halstead, Meagan Halstead and Sydney Halstead. She is also survived by sisters: Christine (Tom) O'Brien, Donna Thede, Mary (Jim) Pelham and brother, Daniel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Sharon Kayden, her brothers in law, Gary Kayden and Mike Thede and daughter in law, Claudia Halstead.

The memorial service will be Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
