Judith Ann Harbaugh, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Niles, Michigan.
Judy was born on May 18, 1945 in Niles, Michigan to the late Clayton Klopfenstein and Betty (Diebler) Klopfenstein.
Married to her devoted husband James on a sunny July 18, 1964, in Niles, MI, their union was a testament to enduring love as they celebrated 61 years of marriage, filled with mutual support and affection.
A master of the art of crocheting, Judy had a passion for creating beautiful afghans, a talent through which she touched the lives of countless individuals. Over the years, she crocheted over a thousand afghans, each a tapestry of color and comfort. More than just a hobby, crocheting was Judy's way of conveying love and care, as she always gave her creations away, warming the hearts and homes of friends, family, and those in need.
Judy's legacy is one of unconditional generosity and a heart that knew no bounds. Whether offering a kind word, a helping hand, or one of her intricately crafted afghans, she lived her life as a testament to the purest form of kindness. Judy's compassionate spirit extended to all corners of her community, and her acts of charity were carried out quietly and humbly, shining as examples of her selfless nature.
Left to cherish the memory of Judy is her loving husband of 61 years, James Harbaugh and her sister, Betty Whiting.
In keeping with Judy's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
