Judith Anne Iovinelli, a cherished soul who graced this world with her love and compassion, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025. Born on April 3, 1951, Judith's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with memories of love, family, and friendship. She was a loving wife to the late John C. Iovinelli and an adored daughter to the late Stanley and Lenore (Stang) Koda.

Judith's warmth extended far beyond the walls of her home. She embodied the spirit of devotion as a mother to her beloved children, Anita and John (Jackie) Iovinelli. Her love knew no bounds, especially in her role as Nonna, where she took immense joy in the moments spent with her granddaughter, Julia Iovinelli. The bond they shared was a light that brightened each day, and Judith's nurturing presence will forever be etched in Julia's heart.

As we remember Judith, we honor the relationships that shaped her life. She was a dearly loved daughter-in-law to the late John and Lorraine (Guerrieri) Iovinelli and a sister to the late Anita Koda, Gertrude (George) Mergen, and Mary Jane Koda. Her siblings held a special place in her heart, and the family gatherings they shared are fondly remembered by all. Judith was also a beloved aunt to many, including Jessica, Sara, Adam, Joanna, Lauren, Caroline, and Andrew, each of whom she cared for deeply and inspired with her kindness.

Our mom, Judy, was deeply connected to her Catholic faith, and tried every day to be guided by kindness, compassion, and love. This was a gift she shared with everyone who came to know her - including friends, (especially her treasured "Guerin Girls"), and co-workers at Suburban Key Punch, Bradner-Smith, and at her most loved job as a school secretary at River Grove Elementary, where she made so many new, cherished friends later in life.

But it is we, her family, who've benefited most. She loved us all so freely and fully, expanding her heart even more when she became a "Nonna" to her granddaughter, Julia. She would tell anyone this was the greatest thing to ever happen to her. While we grieve her loss terribly, we will carry her love forward, comforted by our memories and gratitude for our time with her.

Judith’s spirit will continue to resonate in the lives of those she touched. As we gather to honor her memory, we invite family and friends to join us for a visitation on September 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium in Franklin Park, IL. A funeral service will take place the following day, September 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass at St. Cyprian Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Judith will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL, following interment at 11:30 AM.

Judith Anne Iovinelli was a luminous presence in the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on through her family and countless friends, who will carry her spirit in their hearts forever.
