OBITUARY FOR JUDITH ANN JIMENEZ
Judith “Judye” Jimenez 53, Of Houston formerly of Somerville passed away, November 27, in Houston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville with the burial to follow in Our Lady of Guadelupe Mexican Cemetery in Somerville. The family will receive guests from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary Recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Strickland funeral home in Somerville.
Judye was born February 14, 1972, in Brenham, Texas to parents, David Jimenez and Lucy (Mendoza) Jimenez.
Judye graduated from Somerville ISD Class of 1990, she worked for Walmart nearly 30 years in various departments ending up the Vision Center Manager. She enjoyed traveling to many cities like New York, Las Vegas, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Fl, and all over Texas, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. She also took many cruises to both sides of Mexico. She was an avid sports fan of the Cowboys, Spurs, and the Astros. She was a great listener and friend to family and many friends that knew and loved her. She also liked dancing and would go to many concerts it didn’t matter if it was country, or Tejano she was down for it even going to Dime Box or Giddings with besties Debbie Ondrasek Wilson and Victoria Enrique for the dances and concerts.
Judye was preceded in death by her parents David & Lucy Jimenez.
She is survived by her Brother David Paul Jimenez of Somerville; her fur babies she loved very much Bella and Charlie a long list of friends and other family members.
