Judith "Judy" G. Judge, age 78, a lifelong native of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by her children and her faithful dog, Reggie.
Known for her warm personality, quick wit, and sense of style, Judy was as fiery as she was friendly-always young at heart and full of life. She built a successful career in real estate, where her friendliness and flair for conversation earned her countless clients and lifelong friends throughout the Lowcountry.
Outside of work, Judy found joy and companionship at the AMVETS, where she and her husband, William "Bill" K. Judge, shared many good times and lasting friendships within their close-knit circle.
Judy was the proud mother of three children. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Judge; her son, Todd Poppell; her sister, Mary Hudson; and her brothers, Lenny Martin, A.T. Martin, and Tommy Martin.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Collins Davidson and Angel Nelson, and her son, Timothy Tyler Whitt, all of Beaufort, South Carolina. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mindy Farris, Rossi Roads, Collin Davidson, Chase Davidson, Jan Nelson, Kelton Nelson, Julia Poppell, and Brandon Poppell, Colin Poppell, her brother, Earnest "Ernie" Gesell, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her easygoing nature, sense of humor, and the sparkle she brought into their lives.
Baptized at Central Christian Church in Savannah, Georgia, in 1971, Judy remained true to her roots and held her Christian faith throughout her life.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 14, at 3:00 p.m. at AMVETS. Friends are invited to gather and share memories of Judy's unforgettable spirit.
Our mother was a lifelong supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause very dear to her heart. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Friends of Caroline Hospice.
