Judith “Judy” Lendved (nee Bodinger), 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, surrounded by family and held in love until her final moments.
Judy was born on November 18, 1937 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Alma (nee Baker) Bodinger, a loving sister, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Judy attended Central High School in Sheboygan. She married her high school sweetheart, George Lendved, on June 25, 1955 at Fountain Park United Methodist Church in Sheboygan. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, on July 21, 2019. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
They moved to the Kewaskum area in December of 1958 where Judy remained on their farm nestled in the beautiful Kettle Moraine until the time of her passing. Judy enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, snowmobiling, camping, and spending time with family. She was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane and a Charter member of the New Fane Kettle Riders Snowmobile Club. She started a couple penpal relationships in grade school that continued throughout her life. Judy began work at Sentry Foods in Kewaskum after her youngest child started school, she worked 36 years in the meat department until her retirement in 1999.
Those Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her sister, Jill Anthony, three children, Larry (Nadine) Lendved, Nancy (Ed) Kleinke, and Bonnie (Darryl) Zanow; eight grandchildren, Julie (Paul) Strassman, Jessie (Terry) Jordan, Jon (Ali) Lendved, Carrie (Travis) Roell, Lindsey (Keefe) Olig, Cassie (Jeff) Lindgren, Brooke (Justin) Krueger, and Graeme (Jennifer) Zanow; 3 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters. She is further survived by two nieces, Kim (Kelly) Vandehy and Lisa (Mark) Ceranski; honorary grandsons, Grant Lubner, Isaiah Lubner, and Noah Lubner; other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her loving husband and her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Leland Anthony and Charles Eggenberger.
Judy’s kind heart, quick wit, lively sense of humor, and steadfast faith will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
VISITATION: Judy’s family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church (N683 County Road S, Kewaskum, WI).
FUNERAL SERVICE: A funeral service for Judy will follow visitation at 3:00 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mark Eckert officiating the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Memorials in honor of Judy can be made out to St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.
