Judith (Judy) Lynne Keith, a cherished matriarch and a radiant soul, departed this earthly life on December 5, 2025, in Muskegon, Michigan, surrounded by the love she so generously imparted to others. Born on July 16, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Judy was a steadfast beacon of kindness and compassion, whose life was a testament to the beauty of giving and connection.

Judy’s legacy is profoundly etched in the hearts of her children—Michael (Christine) Keith, Michele (Anthony) Ortiz, Patsy (Jay) Hickey, Steven (Laurie) Keith, and Renee (Eugene) Pelham—who, along with her 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, will carry forth the warmth of her spirit. A devoted mother, Judy embraced the many roles of her life with grace. She possessed an extraordinary ability to nurture relationships, evident not only in her own family but also in the lives of her friends and their children, many of whom affectionately referred to her as mom or grandma.

Her innate kindness was further complemented by her creative soul; she was known for her love of painting, crafts, and various art projects. Judy found solace and joy in the vibrant hues of life's canvas, often bringing her artistic talent into the homes of those she loved. Her passion for camping and gathering around bonfires with family and friends was a cherished ritual, fostering bonds that would endure the test of time. In her younger years, she enjoyed ice skating in her yard, and helping in the garden, nurturing not only the flowers and plants that flourished under her care but also the relationships that blossomed in her life.

Judy was a woman unwavering in her support, noted by many as the rock that held them steady through tumultuous times. Friends were met with judicious compassion; she was the one who took the moment to write a heartfelt card to uplift those in need, celebrate milestones, or offer healing thoughts during recovery. Her touch extended far beyond her immediate circle, reaching anyone fortunate enough to encounter her gentle presence.

Those who knew Judy, well recognize her as a kind, faithful, caring, and loving individual whose memory will forever abide in the stories exchanged at family gatherings, the laughter shared around fires, and the quiet moments of reflection that she inspired. Judy is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edward Hornstra and Marguerite Hornstra,, her ex-husband Steven Keith, her step-daughter, Debra Denzer, and her devoted boyfriend Tony Bitto.

Judith Lynne Keith has woven a fabric of love that will be deeply missed, yet forever remembered, by her family and friends. Her essence remains in the nurturing she provided, the creativity she shared, and the loving words she offered—a legacy that will continue to inspire kindness and connection for generations to come.
