In Loving Memory of Judith M. Lukens

Judy Lukens passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025 at the age of 70. She was born on May 11, 1955, in Gainesville, Florida, and was the beloved daughter of Harold L. Monk and Dorothy Monk.

She is survived by her two older brothers, Frank Walters and Butch Monk; her son, Shawn Lukens, and his wife Katie, along with their children, Camden, Weston, and Emery; and her daughter, Kristy Thacker, and her husband, Scott, along with their children, Colin and Dylan. Her five grandchildren were a source of great pride and joy.

Many meaningful years of her life were spent as a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, where she played handbells as part of the church's music ministry. The Christmas Eve service, in which she also performed, was the highlight of her year and a source of great joy and meaning.

As a lifelong and enthusiastic Florida Gator fan, she proudly cheered on her team through every season.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Forest Meadows Cemetery – Central in Gainesville, Florida.

In celebration of her life, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church (www.st.lukes.org) or Cornerstone Hospice Foundation (https://cornerstonehospice.org/the-foundation/)
