NANCY MAE LUKENS
Nancy Mae Lukens, age 75, of Raymore, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 20, 2026.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Elm Springs Cemetery across the street from the church, 567 NW 1601st Rd, Kingsville, MO 64061. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held in the Raymore area on a later date for the family to announce.
Nancy was born in Holden, Missouri on October 14, 1950 to Kenneth and Kate Shippy. Nancy was employed for decades in the field of 9-1-1 emergency communications, retiring from Raymore Police Department in 2015. She was highly dedicated to her field and worked towards advancements that have impacted the safety and well-being of the community.
Throughout her life, Nancy especially enjoyed gardening, reading, birds and traveling. She loved a walk along a quiet beach.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sandy Davis.
She is survived by her two loving children, Alison Tellatin (Michael) and Matthew Lukens; two sisters, Donna Shippy and Toni Desselle (Rob); two grandchildren, Sophia and Landon Lukens; and nieces and nephews, Amy Coopman (Dave), Melissa Heeney (John), Alex Davis (Lisa), Bill Scott (Elizabeth), Jake Desselle (Annelise), and Blake Desselle (Kelly).
