Judy graduated from Villisca High School in 1961. She worked as a secretary to the high school superintendent for two years, then went to Omaha and worked for Northwest Bell Telephone Company, retiring at the age of 50.
Judy was married to Edward Manchego on March 15, 1997, at her sister's home in Villisca, Gary and Sharon Refer.
Judy passed away on July 25, 2024, at Heritage House Care Center in Atlantic, Iowa where she had been since August 2011.
She is survived by her sister and husband, Sharon and Gary Refer and Their Children Shelia and husband Jay Johnson, Villisca, Iowa and Trudy and husband Lynn Wallingford, Villisca, Iowa, along with nieces and nephew and many friends.
Judy will be missed by all, as was loved by all.
