Judith Blazer Putnam

Judith Ann Blazer Putnam, (Judy), born on November 3,1938, in Canton, N.C. was sent to her eternal home on September 2, 2025. Judy was preceded in death by her her husband of 50 years, Joseph Lewis Putnam, her parents, Cleophus (C.E) and Ruth Wilson Blazer, two brothers C.E.Jr. and Gerald Blazer, one sister Ruby Trantham, two granddaughters, Tonya Lynne Putnam and Teisha Ann Putnam, and a grandson, Hunter Costin Geiss.
Judy is survived by her three sons; Tony Lewis Putnam (Jackie) of Spartanburg, S.C., Timothy Edwin Putnam (Dawn) of Picayune, MS., Trevor Jay Putnam of Waynesville N.C., and her daughter, Teresa Putnam Clark of Asheville N.C. Surviving also are her seven grandchildren: Meredith, Madison, Makenzie, Morgan, Mason, Andrew, and Christopher.
Judy loved watching her grandchildren play ball and she tried to attend all of their games. She also loved working in the yard, knitting, and cooking for her family. She had a knack for mailing the perfect card and it was very important to her to attend all family birthdays, graduations, holidays, and special occasions.
Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we need to follow Christ. She wanted each of us to have a life of meaningful acts of love and service like Christ modeled for us. Those who knew Judy will remember her deep rooted faith in Jesus, her love of her church and family, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered.
Visitation and a Memorial service will be held at Crestview Baptist Church on Pigeon River Road in Canton, N.C. on September 14. Visitation will be at 2:00 and the memorial service will follow at 3:30.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Springhill Baptist Church of Crestview Baptist Church or a favorite charity of ones choice.
