Judith Ann Simmerman "Judie", born August 22, 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away after a brief illness on March 29, 2026. She was a member of the 1961 class for Academy High School in Erie Pennsylvania, and was very active in organizing reunions. Judie also was a longtime volunteer in various youth leagues in the Titusville area to include recreational baseball where she helped keep league books. She assisted the Sunset Riders 4-H club where she hosted numerous holiday parties for the club, even after her own children aged out. She and her husband Ralph opened up their home to hundreds of youth.
Aside from her children, she enjoyed gardening, working outside on her yard, being involved in card club with friends, local bowling leagues, and various outings with friends for lunch.
She is survived by her five children Kim Edge and husband Richard of Pittsburgh, Mike Kovski of Erie, TJ Kovski of Erie, Jason Simmerman and wife Stephanie of Washington DC, and Jeremy Simmerman of Washington DC. She has 11 grandchildren Mindy, Maria, Nicole, Steven, Salina, Chelsy, Tyler, Alexis, Norah, Zachary, and Sabastian. She also has five great-grandchildren Logan, Jax, Myah, Elizabeth, and Maverick.
She made many close friends in the Centerville and Titusville communities. She also had close ties to many in Erie. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Ralph E. Simmerman. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the countless people whose lives she impacted.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Judie's life at her residence on Saturday, April 11, 2026, address is 16035 State Highway 8, Centerville PA 16404 from 2 PM to 5 PM.
