Judith Smarch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes – MacDonald Chapel - Howell on Dec. 24, 2021.
Judith Ann Smarch (Pearson), age 82, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Judith was born December 23, 1939, in Detroit to George and Regina Pearson.
Judy loved looking out and witnessing all the beauty of living on Lake Chemung. Seeing all the wildlife from every view was something she enjoyed every day. When it came to seeing her family, nothing brought her more joy. Spending time with her kids and family meant everything to her.
The birdfeeders were always full because her love for birds was very important to her. Judy also enjoyed her pet dogs that brought her joy and sometimes grief, but she always loved them like children. Some of her fondest memories came when her and her late husband John would get together with friends for W.A.A.G.'s (Wednesday's Attitude Adjustment Group). This involved Going to the Howell Elks Lodge every Wednesday evening for drinks and laughs with all their close friends.
Judith was a very generous and caring woman that supported many charitable organizations including St Jude's Children Hospital, Wounded Warrior, National Republican Party, Paralyzed Veterans, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
If you wish to make a charitable contribution in Judith's memory you can direct your intentions to any of the organizations, she helped support.
The beloved wife of the late John J. Smarch. She is survived by her children Michael (Donna Ostrander) Smarch, Dan (Sherri) Smarch, Dawn (Angela) Smarch, Dennis (Donna) Smarch and the late Johnny Smarch. Grandchildren, Shyanne Showerman, Leah Carpenter, Lauren Smarch, Natalie Smarch, and Maxwell Smarch. Judith's precious great-grandchildren Noelle Showerman and Charlie Ann Showerman. She was also proceded in death by her parents George and Regina Pearson. Sister of Patty Brodsky, Jean Halat, Mike Stuart and the late Phyllis Mulcahay and George Pearson.
Judith's family will receive friends at the Watkins Brothers MacDonald Chapel located at 315 N. Michigan Avenue, Howell, MI 48843 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Service will be at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Ray Kunick officiating.
