I just submitted a long memory about my friendship to Judi and forgot to close with my name. She always called me JP and I always called her JC---- for all the years we knew each other. Bless you Lynn for taking such good care of her and your love for her!!!

Hi Lynn, Thank you so much for telling me when Judi's passing- so very sad!!! I didn't think of looking for an obituary then, so I'm just seeing this now. As you know, I've known her since first grade, so there are so many memories- I can't even begin to remember them all. Here are some highlights: She loved playing the piano early on, especially what Jerry Lee Lewis played, and she was great at it! We both loved sledding down the side of the cemetery in Mt. Carmel and ice skating at Clarks Pond. When we were older, we loved going to Savin Rock with our Spring Valley friends which of course is gone now. We didn't get in trouble at school, but I remember playing hooky one time and going to Bess Eaton donuts and eating an entire dozen of cream filled donuts. We never did that again! High school wasn't too eventful for either of us, we we're much at joining things. We lost touch off and on over the years as the two of us went our different ways moving quite a lot. It was hard to get away much when I ended up in CA. I did see her once in Lake Stevens, WA, and again in Stafford Springs, CT where I got my first ride on the back of a Harley- wow! We lost touch again for some years, but reconnected again when she lived in Wallingford. We loved lobster rolls so we went to a favorite place nearby. attended some Hamden High school reunions with some friends a couple of time. We even got to see some of our Mt Carmel school friends and her first boyfriends- Richie R. and Austie W. We also loved our ice cream! We went to a great place in Mt. Carmel a few times where they made their own ice cream- Wentworth's- it was great! It might still be open- on Whitney Ave. near Sleeping Giant. We used to like to picnic there too in the old days. I noticed her change at our last visit in CT, it saddened me very much! Judi was my very best of friends in all my life, and I was so blessed to have her friendship- I think we were closer than sisters, and will never forget her! Lynn, I hope you get to see this. It may be too late, but I felt I had to write it. I'm so sorry I couldn't get out there for her memorial service. There was so much more, but I think I said enough already. Thank you so much for all the care and the love you have given her, no one could ask for more. I'm hoping to come out there one more time, and if so, I will certainly call you. God bless you always!
