Judith Rose Tucci, 84, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 at 4:26 a.m. She was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. Judith will be remembered for her radiant joy, unending kindness, and the abundance of energy she brought to every moment in life.Born on January 29, 1941 in Eldon, Missouri, Judi was the daughter of Hershel and Wilma Simpson, and sister to Anne Jones as well as the late James “Bo Bo” Simpson. She graduated from Park Hill high school in 1959, beginning a lifetime filled with faith, family, and heartfelt services to others.Judi was a kind and caring mother to her four children Jennifer, Lisa, Mike and Vicki , she dearly loved and enjoyed her 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A member of Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene, she was a devoted follower of Jesus, and enjoyed sharing the love and light with others. Judi was an advocate for children, not only as a children’s pastor, but as a secretary at Central elementary. She worked with the PTA on the state and national level for 35+ years. Judi experienced so much joy seeing the kids happy, for she believed all kids are special. She spent long hours and nights making cakes and cookies “treats” for many occasions for all to enjoy. She loved creating skits and making costumes for plays and for her role as “Sunshine” the clown. Judi as a teen worked at Lagwell Drugstore and out of high school worked at Federal Reserve Bank and in her later years would clean houses and churches. She loved others and worked with the Salvation Army helping kids and teens with many summer activities.Judi was a favorite of the strawberry Hill community where she volunteered at the museum becoming the number one tour guide. She made many friends while giving a warm welcoming hello from her front porch on 6th street to all that went by.
