Judith Green Vaughan, age 82 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the family home. Judy grew up as a member at Bakewell Baptist Church and was a dedicated mother raising her 4 daughters. She enjoyed golf and was a member of Holston Hills Country Club. Judy loved gardening and loved growing roses competitively. She was an avid UT sports fan and enjoyed her trips to the casino. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and “mawmaw” who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill Vaughan; parents, Carl and Glenna Green; brother, Maxie Green; and sister, Carolyn Stracner. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Liz Vaughan and Frank Grubb, Mary and Paul Phillips of Maryville, Jennifer and Brian Russell of Greenback, and Leslie and Steve Ressler of Maryville; grandchildren and their spouses, Erica and Caleb Keener of Sevierville, Anna Ray of Sevierville, Colby and Ashley Phillips of Maryville, Molly and Ethan Russell of Greenback, and Will and Aaron Ressler of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Arlie and Webb Keener of Sevierville; many nieces, nephews and other family also. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at 1:30 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Grandview Cemetery for the graveside service and interment with rev. Mike Parker officiating.
