Blake Robert Vaughan

Blake Robert Vaughan, 17 of Panama City, Florida, lost his 2-week battle with leukemia as a result of complications, on February 12th, 2026.

Blake was born in Warrensburg, Missouri on December 10th, 2008. He was a junior at Bay High School. At Bay, Blake was an active member of the Pep Club, Chess Club, JOI Club, and Pickleball Club. Blake also had the honor of serving as Senior Master Sergeant in the Bay High JROTC. Despite being busy with his studies and club involvement, Blake enjoyed nothing more than supporting his friends and classmates at sporting events, choir performances, and musicals. Blake recently earned his letter for academics.

On his dad's side, Blake is survived by dad Joseph and stepmom Joy Vaughan, siblings Faith, Matthew, and Caleb Vaughan, and grandparents Oliver and Judy Vaughan.

On his mom's side, Blake is survived by mom Mary and stepdad Tracey Burch, sisters Samantha and Katelyn Hestad and grandmother Marj Selky. He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Selky.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, and funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, beginning at 1:00pm. Both will be held at the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 2403 Harrison Ave, Panama City, FL 32405.
For friends and family unable to attend Tuesday, additional visiting time will be available from 12:30pm - 1:00pm ahead of the funeral service.
