Judith Vincent Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Metcalf Mortuary - St. George on Mar. 9, 2026.
Judith Kay "Judy" Vincent was peacefully called home to the Lord at 3:56 a.m. on March 7, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. After a life filled with devotion, strength, and deep love for those around her, she entered into eternal rest.

Judy was a devoted Catholic, loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by faith, resilience, and a generous heart. Her quiet strength and warmth made everyone around her feel welcomed, safe, and deeply loved.

Throughout her life, Judy held a strong and steady faith in God. Her belief in the Lord carried her through life's joys and challenges, and in her final days she was surrounded by prayer and the comforting traditions of the Catholic Church. Her family finds peace in knowing she has now been welcomed into the loving arms of Christ.

Judy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved horses and animals of all kinds, always having a soft heart for every creature she encountered. She enjoyed relaxing with her favorite Hallmark movies, staying informed while watching Fox News, and she proudly supported President Donald Trump, often sharing her strong opinions with those she loved.

Music also brought her great joy. She especially loved the smooth voice of Perry Como and the timeless songs of Elvis Presley, music that often filled her home and brought comfort and cherished memories.

Above all, Judy cherished her family. She gave of herself generously and without hesitation, offering encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering love that helped shape the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Judy shared many years of marriage with John B. Walkington before their divorce in 1995. She was later the beloved wife of Lupe Carmona until his passing in 1999, and the devoted wife of Charles F. Vincent until his passing in 2018. Each of these men held a meaningful place in her life and heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Jackie Walkington, Jenny Williams, and Marybeth McKelvey, and by her cherished grandchildren Taylor Minks, Christopher Edwards, Courtney Edwards, Brandon Williams, Emily Williams, Valerie Thomas, and Gretchen Williams, who will continue to carry forward the love and lessons she shared with them.

Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in their faith and in the promise of eternal life, trusting that Judy now rests in the loving presence of God and is reunited with those who have gone before her.

Now reunited with her beloved mother, Edith Pape, Judy rests in the peace of heaven, where love is eternal, and the soul is finally home.

Though her family's hearts are heavy with loss, they take comfort in knowing that Judy has now been reunited in heaven with her beloved mother, Edith Pape, and with the loved ones who went before her. We imagine them embracing again in the light of heaven.

"I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live."
- John 11:25

Rest in Heaven, Mom… my beautiful Amapola.

A Daughter's Words

Mom, your love shaped my life in ways words cannot fully express. You taught me strength, compassion, how to care deeply for others, to give more of yourself than you ever expected in return, and above all, faith in Jesus Christ. Though none of us are perfect, to me you always were.

Thank you for every sacrifice you made and every moment of love you gave our family. I know you are finally at peace, reunited with those you missed so dearly. It was a blessing that you left this earth while we prayed the Rosary. Wrapped in His arms, you were carried peacefully home to heaven.

Until we meet again, I will carry you in my heart forever.

Love always,
Jackie
