Judith Ann Vollmer 82 of Ellsworth joined her beloved husband, Bob, in Heaven, Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born April 17, 1943 in Charlevoix. Judie was the daughter of Hans and Geneva (Ruis) DeYoung.
Left to cherish her memories are the most important people of her life, her four boys and grandchildren. Her sons Jeff (Renea) of South Lyon and their children Emma and Julia, Bryan (Jen) of Charlevoix and their children Olivia and Hudson, Scott (Lynn) of Charlevoix and their son Parker Skeel, and Doug of Charlevoix. Also surviving is her adored brother Dean (Jennai) DeYoung and Judie’s niece and nephew, Ryan and Erin (Joe) DeBorba.
Judie was a devout Christian of strong faith and an active member of the Belltower Reformed Church. She was a dedicated mother and nana who always put her family first. She loved baking, cooking, and making sure everyone had their favorites. Judie loved to cheer on her grandkids at their sporting events and activities.
On many Fridays, Judie and her lifelong friends, Donna and Jo, would spend the day shopping and enjoying each other’s company. Judie was known to Christmas shop all year long, and often had her presents bought by June for the upcoming year! Music was a large part of Judie’s life and always seemed to be playing nearby.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 12, at 11 am at the Belltower Reformed Church in Ellsworth with the family receiving friends from 10am until the time of service. She will be laid to rest next to Bob in Atwood Cemetery, Banks Township.
