Judith Mary Wallace (Szigety), affectionately known as Judy, passed away on November 10, 2025, at the age of 80. Her passing brings deep sadness to all who knew her, as she was a cherished presence in their lives.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Elizabeth, two siblings, Allen and Larry, her devoted husband Jack, and her cherished son Todd, who passed away at the age of six. Her family and friends take comfort knowing she is now reunited with them. Survivors include her other five siblings, Jim, Chuck, Yvonne, Dan, Michael, and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Born on August 16, 1945 in Mankota, Saskatchewan, second oldest of eight children born to Julius and Elizabeth (Fowler) Szigety, Judy was a kind and loving soul who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her career included working at a local bank call center, where her dedication, warmth, and steady presence left a lasting impression.
Beyond her work, Judy had many passions. She was a talented quilter whose hand-stitched creations brought beauty and comfort to those lucky enough to receive them. She loved tending to her garden, finding joy in each new bloom, and she never lost her excitement for discovering hidden treasures at garage sales.
After the loss of her husband, Jack, Judy spent her later years residing in nursing facilities. There, she became known for her gentle spirit, her ever-present kindness, her beautiful silver hair, her infectious smile, and her deep sense of gratitude. The staff and residents quickly grew to love her, cherishing the peace and sweetness she brought into their lives.
Judy’s remains will be privately interred at a future date on the property she once shared with Jack.
