Judith Ann Waldau passed away with her daughter Carrie by her side after a long illness on Monday, March 09, 2026. She had lung cancer that spread to her bones, and was on hospice for 2 months. She fought hard and long, and is now at peace.

Judith was born on December 02, 1954 to Mr and Mrs. Richard and Thola Waldau Sr.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Constantia, NY. She graduated from P. V. Moore in 1973 and worked at most of the local establishments. She was also a life member of the Constantia VFW, and became a Knight of the Bald Table after having fundraised for the St. Baldricks Foundation at the Altmar Hotel.

A talented crocheter, Judy handmade blankets and hats, donating them to those in need. In the springtime, she loved planting flowers and watching the birds. Most of all, she cherished keeping up with her 2 grandsons, spending time with family and friends making memories.

Judith is predeceased by her Dad; Richard Waldau Sr., and a nephew; Michael D. Waldau.

She is survived by her mother; Thola Waldau, her daughter; Carrie (Shaw) Lashomb, son in law; Eric J. Lashomb, her 2 grandsons; Nathaniel Lashomb and Elijah Lashomb, her siblings; Richard (Marianne Dolly) Waldau Jr., Donald (Phyllis) Waldau, Katherine (George) Files, Robert Waldau, John (Debbie) Waldau, and Frederick (Michelle) Waldau, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as her her beloved cat; Jingle Bell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Constantia VFW on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 1:00pm-5:00PM.

While mom loved getting flowers, please consider a donation in her honor to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, or Hospice of CNY.
