Cristin N. (Rech) Ormsby, 54, passed away on January 30, 2026, in Edgewater, Florida.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Cristin, known affectionately as Crissy - attended Liverpool and West Genesee high schools and went on to build a long career in the hospitality industry. A dedicated and hardworking professional, she was known for her kindness, generosity and strong work ethic.
Above all else, Crissy loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife and mother, loving daughter and sister, and a loyal friend, and someone who made those around her feel cared for. She had a special place in her heart for animals and was a lover of all creatures, great and small.
Crissy is survived by her husband, Matthew Ormsby, of Edgewater, Florida; her daughter, Carlie Rech, of Syracuse, New York; stepdaughter Savannah Ormsby of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; her mother, Jacqueline Salanger and stepfather, Martin Salanger, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; her sister Anna, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; her brothers, Andrew of Constantia, New York and Matthew Salanger (Samantha) of North Syracuse, New York; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private.
