Judith Gage Willard, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Carleton Willard Village, Bedford, with her husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of David G. Willard with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
She was born in Grafton on April 27, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Sydney and Marion (Fairbanks) Gage.
She was raised and educated in Worcester, where she was a graduate of Classical High School with the Class of 1954. She continued her education at Lasell Junior College. Judith (W1YCU) met her husband David (W1EO) as amateur ham radio operators and they talked for a year before ever seeing each other. They were engaged in 1957 and married in 1958. They began married life in Worcester, and then moved to Nashua, Milford, NH, and Hollis, NH before settling in Carlisle. At age 40, Judith earned her nursing degree (RN) and worked in various hospitals.
In her spare time, Judith enjoyed collecting clocks, lighthouses, spoon holders, and antique sports cars.
In addition to her loving husband, Judith leaves her brother-in-law Berton C. Willard and his wife Sylvia of Carlisle, and her first cousin Roger Damon of St. Johnsbury, VT. She also leaves several of David's cousins and many friends.
