Leonard "Lenny" Schroeder
Leonard George Schroeder, 68, a resident of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Marson) Schroeder, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
He was born in Woburn, MA on October 29, 1957, and was the son of the late Leonard G. and Mildred (Geoghegan) Schroeder.
Known as "Lenny" by friends and family, he was raised in Chelmsford, MA and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1976. He was initiated into the Pipefitters Local 537 out of Boston in 1982. He was a highly respected member of the Local who was an outstanding HVAC service technician and manager. He was passionate about his profession and dedicated a majority of his career to teaching and mentoring other members of the Local until his retirement in 2012.
His hobbies included golfing, bowling, fishing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiling, puzzle making, bird watching, and landscaping. He enjoyed watching sports and attending games, getting together with friends for weekly lunch meet-ups, hanging out with his grand dogs for coffee time, and working on projects around the house. He loved spending time with his family and traveling up north to the lakes in Vermont and New Hampshire. He also loved traveling down south to Myrtle Beach, SC and anywhere else with warm weather and an ocean. He was passionate about donating to charitable organizations that specialized in helping dogs and other animals.
In addition to his loving wife, Lenny leaves his children; Brendon Schroeder and his wife Caitlin of NH, Elizabeth Ploof and her husband Rick of CA, and Ryan Schroeder of NH. He also leaves behind other family members including his mother-in-law, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, a grand niece and nephew, cousins, and many, many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mildred Schroeder, his sisters Patricia Schroeder and Donna Schroeder, his father-in-law Stanley Marson, his brother-in-law Stanley Marson, Jr., and brother-in-law Jan Marson and his wife Kimberlee Marson.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11am – 1pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. His funeral services and interment will be held privately.
