Daniel Conrad Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farmer & Dee Funeral Home on Feb. 18, 2026.
Daniel J Conrad, age 57, a resident of Tewksbury for 27 years, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away at home in the care of his family on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Cherilyn P. (Campbell) Conrad, with whom he would have celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on November 10, 2026.
Born in Lowell on January 12, 1969, he was the son of Elizabeth M. (Crane) (Conrad) Flaherty of Chelmsford and Robert E. Conrad of Nashua, NH.
Dan was raised in Chelmsford, attended Chelmsford schools and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1987. Following high school, he attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor's degree in print management.
Prior to his illness, he was employed for the past 17 years by the L3 Harris Technologies Company, where he worked as a Production Planner in the Space Imaging Division. He previously worked for ACME Printing Company in Wilmington.
In his spare time, he loved listening to music, especially to the songs performed by The Rolling Stones and The Black Crowes. He took pleasure in seeing live bands, listening to his record collection and attending the yearly Lowell Folk Festival. In addition, he enjoyed kayaking, fishing, bicycling and his backyard hobby of raising chickens. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Whether it was a quick joke, a funny story or a perfectly timed comment, he had a way of bringing smiles to the people around him. One of Dan's greatest joys was being a grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and being part of their everyday lives. Dan always looked forward to the family's yearly vacations to Stowe, Vermont and Ossipee, NH. The memories of these trips will last a lifetime.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves four children, Meghan Jensen of Dracut and her former husband Michael, Brooke Mallahan and her partner Danielle Melanson of Merrimack, NH, Quinn Conrad of Tewksbury and Paige Conrad of Tewksbury: five grandchildren, Michael Jensen, Jr., Kaden Jensen, Leeyana Powers, Thomas Jensen and Nathan Powers: his brother, Jimmy Conrad and his wife Kim of Dover, NH: two sisters, Betsy Rutherford of Nashua, NH and Kathy Alesse and her husband Steve of Arlington: his in-laws Bob and Candace Ryan of Tewksbury. He leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members and numerous lifelong friends. Dan was the stepson of the late James Flaherty of Chelmsford.
Calling hours are Friday, February 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Saturday, February 21st at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by Funeral services to be held at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover Street, Route 133, Tewksbury. After cremation, interment of his ashes will be at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org
