Joyce Marie McKenna

Joyce Marie (Rogerson) McKenna, age 85, a longtime Tewksbury resident and communicant of St. William's Parish, passed away at her home in the care of her family and hospice on Friday, January 23, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of John A. "Jack" McKenna, who passed away on January 15, 2021.
Born on Prince Edward Island, Canada on May 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Adam "Leo" Rogerson and the late Lina (MacDonald) Rogerson.
Joyce was raised on the family farm on Prince Edward Island and attended local schools.
In her late teens, she came to the United States and worked for a family in Brookline, MA.
She and her late husband resided in Somerville for several years and in 1964, the family moved to Tewksbury, where they raised their five children.
Prior to her retirement, Joyce worked for many years in the electronics field.
A talented seamstress, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, and needlepoint. In addition, she loved gardening, craft projects and playing golf with her late husband.
Joyce and her late husband were members of the former Billerica Irish-American Club and annually volunteered at the "Irish Festival" held in Tewksbury.
Joyce is survived by her five children, John F. McKenna and his wife Donna, of Methuen, Daniel M. McKenna and his late wife Susan, of Plaistow, NH, Sharon M. Mikrut and her late husband Mike, of Farmington, ME, Kevin J. McKenna and his wife Mary, of Tewksbury, and Donna M. Lennon and her husband Kevin, of Canton: ten grandchildren, Sean, Erin, Danielle, Ryan, Michael, Ian, Eric, Maddi, Calvin, and Hailey: two great grandchildren: Kian and Julian. Joyce is the sister of Leonard Rogerson, Celina McNally, Charles Rogerson, Ellen Ostridge, Marlene Hughes, Sheila Heron, and the late Frank Rogerson, Leona Gormley and John Rogerson.
She leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
At her request, services were held privately. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to St. William's Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876
