Judith Sharyn (Hawes) Yager, age 79, of Willow Hill, Illinois, passed away at 3:07 PM – Saturday 21, 2024,
at Terre Haute Reginal Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Meyer Funeral Home, Newton, Illinois. The burial will be in the Brockville Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9-11 AM prior to the service. The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.
Judith was born on April 1, 1945, in Willow Hill, Illinois, the daughter of Richard Hollen and Fern Gertrude (Rodgers) Hawes. Judith married the love of her life, Francis Yager on March 14, 1969, he preceded her in death on May 25, 2015. Judith received a bachelor's in nursing, was a registered nurse, and shared her passion for nursing as an instructor at Lincoln Trail College for 16 years. She provided loving care to patients at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois and the Newton Rest Haven, Newton, Illinois along with other facilities. After her retirement she enjoyed flower gardens and quilting.

Harold (Kim) Yager of Hutton, Illinois
Ray (Gena) Yager of Saint Marie, Illinois
Francis R. Yager of Saint Marie, Illinois
Brothers: Charles (Marilyn) Hawes of Olney, Illinois,
Richard Hawes of Lawrenceville, Illinois
Sister: Dana Cochran of Olney, Illinois
9 Grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great grandchild.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Fern Hawes, husband Francis, son Charles David,
sisters, Betty Lou Bundick, Marilyn Dilly, and infant brother David Hawes.
