Judy Allaine Blacksmith, age 81, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born on December 24, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to Oco and Lucy Gallimore. Judy was a loving wife, a beloved Christian mother and loved God with her whole heart. She and Bobby were married for 48 years. They started as members of Browns Chapel Baptist Church, with Bro. Horace Johnson and continued their membership at Browns Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Dunn.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Vickie Blacksmith Garfield (Rodney); her sons, Ricky Blacksmith (Rebecca) Daryl Blacksmith, Harold Blacksmith (Beth) Ferrell Blacksmith (Rachel); her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sisters, Barbara Gallimore and Gail Coleman.
Judy was all heart. Her love was unconditional. She spread warmth and acceptance and genuinely valued her time with you. One of her greatest pleasures was singing without hesitation. She always told you she was proud of you, she always talked about her Lord, and she always called you on your birthday.
Her children are her greatest legacy! Her life was defined by her relationship with Jesus. She instilled in her children the value of kindness and respect. She loved being “Grandma” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed road trips to see family and often shared stories of those visits, cherishing every memory. She delighted in a good game of bingo, which always brought her happiness.
Her favorite Bible verse was Matthew 18:20. It says “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” It reflects the way she lived, and we find comfort in this promise.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church in Cedartown, Georgia.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Judy Allaine Blacksmith.
