Judy Bollenbacher, 76, passed away in her Pierceton home on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Born in Mobile, Alabama on July 19, 1948, Judy was the daughter of Bill and Lorene (Johnson) Ellison. She graduated from Vigor High School and went on to get her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Alabama.
Music and community outreach were always at the forefront of her life. Judy was an Azalea Trail Maid ambassador for the city of Mobile and trained as an opera singer in Los Angeles, California. She would sing with the Mobile Opera and go on to write her own compositions. Judy devoted her life to her family and her faith, raising two kids with her first husband John Bozeman and working as a private Suzuki piano and vocal teacher.
She would settle in the Pierceton area in 2007. In 2010 she married Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher. She served as a music minister at Sacred Heart in Warsaw and later at New Beginnings Community Church in Atwood.
Judy was a lover of nature and her dear pets and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Bollenbacher of Warsaw, her son Jon (Dana) Bozeman of Fairhope, AL and their children: Olivia (Earl), Lauren, Caisson (Cadee) and Judy's great- grandson Morgan; her daughter Marena Moonflower of Fort Wayne and her children: Maya, Miles, Athena, Azalea and Rosetta as well as Judy's brother Richard (Jane) Ellison of Santa Barbara, CA.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the Animal Welfare League 1048 S. 325 E.
