EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Judy Brown announces her passing on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at her home with loving family by her side, at the age of 83.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father John Brown S.J., Celebrant.
Judy was a homemaker, who was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Judy will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Bruce Brown of Cheneyville; her eleven children, Robert Bruce Brown and wife, Jennifer of Eunice, Edward "Chip" Linzay Brown and wife, Maggie of Houston, Kenneth Lee Brown and wife, Charlotte of Cheneyville, Daniel Brown and wife, Lecia of Eunice, Joel Quincy Brown of New Orleans, Sally Brown LaVergne and husband, Sammy of Houston, Kathryn Brown and husband, Kevin Dyer of Baton Rouge, Jesse Bernard Brown and wife, Anglyn of Baton Rouge, Christine Adele Brown of Hawaii, Fr. John Brown S.J. of New Orleans, and Cy Jacob Brown and wife, Jill of Eunice; thirty two grandchildren, Seth, Will, Wesley, and Matt Brown, Caroline Wilson, Alexandra Brown and Michelle Kaylor, Olivia Ebarb, Austin, Rachel, Emily, Jacob, and Vivian Brown, Kimberley, Craig, and Douglas Brown, Kelli Arceneaux, Jodi Andrus, Stephanie LaVergne, Jill Johnson, Amy Bursavich, and Brad LaVergne, Sarah, Bruce, Adam, and Gabriel Brown, Beau and Madeleine Brown, Alyssa, Amanda, and Eric Brown; forty four great grandchildren, Hunter, Mary Grace, Drew, Luke, Myles, William, Alice, Laura, Hannah, Noah, Ruth, Evelyn, Jane, Mason, Hadrian, Myrah, Liam, Elizabeth, Molly, June, Kelsi, Kruse, Kayli, Theo, Roman, Phillip, Braxtyn, Joshua, Gabriel, Benjamin, Jonah, Noah, Elah, Morgan, Drake, Ridge, Anna, Leslie, Alice, Charlotte, Elaine, Mary, Sarah, and Leah and siblings, Dr. Raymond Brown and wife, Jill of Natchez, MS and Donald Brown and wife, Rita of Eunice
She was preceded in death by her; parents, Eddie and Hazel Whittaker Brown; son, Benjamin Brown; great granddaughter, Audrey Brown; brother, Eddie Brown, Jr. and son-in-law, David Brown.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, January 27th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Saturday, January 28th from 8:30 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 pm on Friday evening.
