I cannot express the heartbreak I feel for the Eckert Family, and all the families suffering from this terrible tragedy. Although I did not personally know Mrs. Eckert, I have seen her around New Albany. Always with a kind word and smile, which helped me on a bad day once. I wish I had been there to help her ... She is in a place where violence does not exist now. She will always be watching over her loved ones... My heart is with you.

Mike...my deepest sympathy for you and your family's profound loss. Though Deana and I had lost touch over the years, fond memories have always remained. I hope that your eternal love brings some respite from the pain.

To Ben, and the rest of the Eckert family, I cannot fathom what you all are having to go through. I mourn for your loss, and pray that God would watch over your family as you get through these dark times. May Deana rest in peace, and may you all reunite in Heaven one day.
