Judy Dotson

Judy Dotson, age 76, of Dalton, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Blairsville, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Dotson, and her parents, Halen and Mabel Maney.
Judy was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Cohutta, GA. She and Charles were foster parents for several years. Judy worked as a paraprofessional at Pleasant Grove Elementary for a time as an extension of her love for children. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Michael Moore of Washington, GA, Joyce Nicholson of Calhoun, GA, Crystal and Kenny Brock of California, and Emily Holcombe of Dalton, GA; sons Alex Dotson and Michael Dotson of Dalton, GA; sisters, Shirley Burch, and Nancy Welker; brothers and sister-in-law, Steve Maney, Daryl Maney, Bruce and Linda Maney; grandchildren, Jacob Nicholson, Evan Moore, Emma Moore, Matthew Nicholson, Jesse Nicholson, Aaron Moore, Ace Dotson, Cedric Johnson, Preston Johnson, Fay Brock, and Kallen Brock; nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Homes on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM with Pastor Dewayne Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.
Burial will be held in Varnell Cemetery.
