Judy Frey, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home in Crestwood, Kentucky on November 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 23, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, Judy was the daughter of the late Leslie "Bud" and Inez (Hendrix) Watts. She was also preceded in death by her treasured daughter, Sara Michelle Frey, and her brothers, William "Bill" Watts and Gary Watts.
She was a graduate of Manuel High School and advanced her education in cosmetology, a field that allowed her to express her creativity and develop lifelong friendships. Judy dedicated over 40 years of her life to her career as a hairdresser.
A devoted caretaker, Judy was known for her nurturing spirit and deep love for her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Larry Michael Frey; her daughters, Kellie Lynne DeVincenzo (Enzo) and Kimberly Dawn Bauer; her sister, Betty Bottorff, sister-in-laws, Pat Watts, Clara Watts; and a cherished family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
Judy's vibrant personality radiated throughout her life. She found joy in entertaining at her home for every holiday, creating lasting memories and traditions within her family. Judy was a lover of the beach, she cherished vacationing with her family and enjoyed fishing trips with her husband, which provided them with countless moments of happiness. Her green thumb allowed her to grow a variety of plants, and she took delight in feeding the hummingbirds that visited her throughout the summer, a testament to her nurturing heart.
Judy Frey's legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will continue to inspire those who knew her. She was loved by all who crossed her path, leaving a mark on the lives of her family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at LaGrange Assembly of God, (2109 KY Hwy 146, La Grange, KY 40031).
Visitation will also be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 at LaGrange Assembly of God, (2109 KY Hwy 146, La Grange, KY 40031 with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky.
Judy will be missed deeply, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
The family requests that contributions in Judy’s memory be made to St. Jude’s's Children's Research Hospital.
