Judy Lane Herrington Hutto, 78, of Doerun, died Monday, August 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Doerun. Trey Hutto, Jason Hutto, Austin Hutto, James Fillyaw, Wayne Kirkland, and Eric Hall will all serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Born on June 9, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ruben Herrington and Sara Kelley Herrington. She devoted many years to serving others through her work in nursing with Home Healthcare and Colquitt Regional Home Health, where she provided comfort, compassion, and dignity to countless patients and their families.
Judy had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors. She loved spending time in her garden, nurturing flowers and plants with care and delight. In the kitchen, she was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, creating dishes that brought her family together around the table.
Above all, Judy’s greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Whether it was sharing a laugh, offering a listening ear, or making memories during special gatherings, she treasured every moment spent with them. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jasmine Hutto, and her brother, Lamar Herrington.
Mrs. Hutto is survived by her children, Donald Hutto and wife Nancy, Daniel Hutto (Carrie), and Dawn Hancock and husband Durrell; grandchildren, Nikki McFatter (Richard), Ashley Cameron (Michael), Trey Hutto, Jason Hutto, and Austin Hutto; 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will be gathering at 6763 Thigpen Trail, Doerun, Georgia.
