Dr. Judy Keeven
August 5, 1952 - February 9, 2023
Highland, Illinois - Dr. Judy L. Keeven, 70, of Highland, IL, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at home, surrounded by her family.
Judy was born August 5, 1952, to Al and Agnes (nee Foppe) Keeven in St. Louis, MO. After her father Al passed away, Agnes married Leonard Keeven, who raised her and her siblings. On June 28, 1996, she married Stephen James Durbin in Edwardsville, IL.
Judy was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she enjoyed being a lector and participating in prayer groups. She graduated from St. Louis University with a Doctorate Degree in Psychiatry, and served her residency at Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. Judy then worked as Medical Director at various facilities around the state of Illinois, before starting her private practice in 1993, in Highland. Psychiatry was her passion, always helping others.
She loved being around her family and traveling with her husband. Her hobbies were beading bracelets and playing guitar. She was a wonderful wife and mother, a dear sister and friend. Judy was an advisor, a nurturer, a seasoned traveler, and always supportive. She was kind, confident and loved; she will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Al Keeven, Leonard and Agnes Keeven; and sister, Linette Keeven.
Judy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Stephen J. Durbin, Highland, IL; children, Stephen Michael (Mary) Durbin, Highland, IL, Tracy Ann Durbin, Highland, IL, Dominic James (Erica) Durbin, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Taylor (Ben) Bibliowicz, Kelsey (Culton) Rosenbeck, Hailey Durbin; great grandchildren, Siggy, Isaac, Mason, Lorelei and Oswell; siblings, Kenneth (Deborah) Keeven, Highland, IL, Dennis (Kathy) Keeven, Highland, IL, Wayne (Deborah) Keeven, Highland, IL, Connie (Mark) Plocher, Highland, IL, Jay (Shelly) Keeven, Edwardsville, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Outreach, (formerly St. Vincent De Paul Society).
Visitation: Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 8:00 to 10:30 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, February 16, 2023, 11:00 am, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
Clergy: Fr. Pat Jakel, Pastor
Interment: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Highland, IL

She was my "little sis" in nursing school at st Luke´s..she played guitar and wrote some songs and was a lovable young lady-generous and kind always. RIP dear Judy
