Judy Langord, 81, of Brunswick, ME, and formerly of Southborough, MA, died peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, with family by her side.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret Skelton. Judy attended Point Park College and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She worked as a funeral director at Skelton Funeral Home. She met her husband, Allen Langord, when he became the organist at her church, and it was love at first sight. She sang soprano alongside Allen as he played the organ at churches in all the places they lived. They had four children together and she spent her life being a devoted and loving mother and wife.

Judy and her family lived in many places, including Fairfield, CT; Indiatlantic, FL; Hadley, MA; Sola Vita, FL; New Wilmington, PA; and most influentially, Southborough, MA, where she and Allen raised their children.

Judy lit up the world with her many talents and interests. She beautified every place they lived by nurturing exquisite gardens and decorating enthusiastically for every holiday. She made the Christmas season magical for everyone that knew her, especially her children. She was a fantastic cook, had an affinity for pinecones and she deeply loved their several family dogs.

Music was the bedrock of Judy and Allen's life. Judy had an exceptional singing voice that uplifted church services from the choir and as a soloist. She played a vital supporting role in the establishment of the annual tradition of performing Handel's Messiah with choir, soloists, and full orchestra during the Christmas holiday season at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Southborough, MA, which is a tradition that continues today. Judy always mused, even in her final days, that "music and nature are the voice and presence of God."

Judy was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her oldest sister, Loxi Carter; and her oldest daughter, Laura Langord. She is survived by her children, Brendan Langord (Kristin) of Worcester; Jillian King (David) of Springfield, VA, and Christian Langord (Erica) of Phippsburg, ME; her sisters Heidi Day of Tampa, FL, and Susie Wilson of Homestead, PA; her Brother Clifford Skelton; her sister-in-law Letitia Langord of Rogersville, TN; and her grandchildren, Clara Anderson of Natick; Faith Yellick of Northborough; Chelsea, Dylan and Dominic Langord of Worcester; Shane and Jolen King of Springfield, VA; Soren and Bjorn Langord of Phippsburg, ME; and her great grandson Dylan Langord Jr. of Worcester.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 15 Common Street, Southborough, MA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Judy's memory to Beacon Hospice Care at 52 Atlantic Place Suite B50, South Portland ME 04106 www.amedisys.com/services/hospice-care/donations/. Chaplain Michael from the South Portland location was a source of comfort for her spirit and soul as she finished her journey over the last two years and the family is forever grateful.
