Judy M. McKrisky

1950 - 2025

Judy Mae (Hirtz) McKrisky, 75, of South Buffalo Township, formerly of Freeport, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born May 26, 1950, in Natrona Heights, to the late James P. and Alice (Swartzlander) Hirtz. Judy was a 1968 graduate of Tarentum High School and a 1990 graduate of Citizens Hospital School of Nursing. She started working at 18 as a candy striper at Allegheny Valley Hospital, then worked as an L.P.N. until furthering her education at Citizens School of Nursing, graduating in 1990 as a registered nurse and later retiring as a volunteer in 2024 at age 74. Judy enjoyed walking the beach looking for sea glass in Conneaut, OH; spending time with her friends; fishing; making sea glass jewelry; women and women's groups; and especially watching her grandkids' sports and activities. Judy is survived by her husband of 21 years and together 33 years, Robert McKrisky; daughters, Patricia (Negley) Wolfe and her husband, Keith, Jayme (Lassinger) Brozeski and her husband, Brian, and Stacey (Lassinger) Parker and her husband, Chad; grandchildren, Hunter, Ainsley (Darren), Isaac (Saren), Averi, Potter, Lenyn, Irie, and Arlo; great-grandchildren, Kahle, Kenadie, Kade, Deakyn, Jaxen, and Ellis; brother, David Hirtz; and her uncle, Paul Hirtz. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, James P. Hirtz. Friends will be received on Monday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. in CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025.
