Judy Noel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Island Memorial Funeral Home on Dec. 2, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Born on August 6, 1991, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Judy was the beloved daughter of Marie Rose Noel and Rodrigue Jean and the loving sister to Rony Jean. Judy is remembered at a young age being very attached to her mother and could be found near the end of a visit, standing at the door awaiting her mother's arrival to go home. Little did anyone know this shy little girl would grow up to impact hundreds of people's lives of all ages through her dedication to education and her radiant joy that lit up every room she entered.

Judy graduated from Hillside High School in 2009 and went on to proudly pursue her education at Kean University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies in 2013. She continued her academic excellence by completing her Master of Public Administration in 2016. Her passion for education and leadership led her to begin her teaching journey in 2017 at North Star Academy Charter School in Newark. In 2019, she transitioned to KIPP Academy, where her dedication, charisma, and work ethic recently led to a well-earned leadership promotion. Judy inspired others to pursue their goals and took the time to help develop their skills, always willing to pour into others the same way she poured into her calling.

Judy grew up here at Bethel Haitian Baptist Church, where her faith was the foundation of her life. She was deeply involved in church activities-teaching in the children's ministry, participating in the youth choir, and coordinating events both inside and outside the church, including weddings, bridal showers, and baby showers. Her service was heartfelt, consistent, and rooted in her love for God and her community.

Outside of her professional and church life, Judy enjoyed baking, shopping, traveling, being a prankster, and bringing joy wherever she went. She was the cornerstone of many different friend groups, the glue that held people together. Though she grew up soft-spoken and shy, she blossomed into a social butterfly-funny, radiant, and always the life of the party. She loved to dance, loved her family, and carried herself with resilience, effortless beauty, and an infectious smile.

Judy was everyone's hype man-supportive, encouraging, and always ready to show up and show out for others. She was full of light and life, God-fearing, family-oriented, and loved deeply by all who knew her.

Judy leaves to cherish her loving memory: her parents, Marie Rose Noel and Rodrigue Jean; her brother Rony (and wife Regina) Jean; Aunts, Eveline Noel, Gladys Noel, Micheline (and husband Alex) Lochard, and Judette Offrey; Uncle Idovic (and wife Elvire) Noel; Cousins Alan (and wife Lauren) Jean, Keisha (and husband Grant) Stackhouse, Kendra and Tyra Jean-Pierre, Kevin and Carl (wife, Loveline) Lochard, Diane and Samantha Noel, Sherline and Jude Fan-Fan. Her memory will also be cherished by her nieces Rileigh Jean and Noel Jean, nephew Kairo Jean-Pierre, and godchildren Taylor and Colin Simeus. Judy also leaves behind the impact she left on a host of beloved friends, colleagues, and students. Judy was preceded by death by her grandparents Elicaisse and Andrena Noel who she is joyfully united with in glory.

Judy's time with us was far too short, but the love she gave, the faith she carried, and the joy she spread will forever remain in our hearts. To know her was to be uplifted by her laughter, her encouragement, her devotion, and her beautiful spirit. Above all, Judy lived with a faith rooted in the Person of Jesus Christ with whom she now spends eternity. May we honor her memory by loving boldly, serving others, and showing up for one another just as she always did.
Judy, thank you for blessing this world with your light. You will forever shine in all of us.
