JUDY M. PETERSON Judy M. Peterson, age 57, of Menomonie, WI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, March 15, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The former Judy Marie Cockeram was born Dec. 26, 1951 in Menomonie, WI to Harry and Opal (Morgan) Cockeram. She was raised in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1970. Following graduation she worked for Sandy Lee Mfg. Judy married Tom Peterson on Sept. 19, 1980 in Menomonie. They made their home in the Menomonie area. Judy worked in Home Health Care and she worked at K-Mart and Fleet Farm in Menomonie. Judy loved to travel with her husband Tom and in her last year she enjoyed trips to Alaska, Hawaii and Arizona. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid promoter of Relay for Life. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and making cards with family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Judy is survived by: Her husband Tom A son, Tony (Rhonda) Peterson of Forest Lake, MN Her father, Harry Cockeram of Menomonie Two grandsons, Mason and Brandon Peterson of Forest Lake, MN Brothers and sisters, Richard Cockeram of Eau Claire Gerald (Lynda) Cockeram of Menomonie Marjorie Oberle of Menomonie Cindy (Tom) Miller of Menomonie Several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Opal Cockeram, a brother Harry Cockeram Jr. and a sister-in-law Judy Cockeram. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with a private family service held at a later date.
