Judy Scott, age 77, of
London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.
She leaves behind three children, Tommy E. Scott Jr. & wife Jeannie of
London, KY, Shawn Scott & wife Melinda of
London, KY, Jason Scott & wife Chasity of Danville, KY; five siblings, James Johnson & wife Sally of
London, KY, Etta Lou Hodge & husband Mike of East Bernstadt, KY, George Johnson & wife Linda of
London, KY, Sharlene Thompson of
London, KY, Doug Johnson of Manchester, KY; five grandchildren, Jamie Howard, Natasha Boone, Brittany Hillard, Shawn Cobb, Hayden Scott; eleven great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy E. Scott Sr; her parents, Jake and Celia Evans Johnson; two children, Khristy Howard, James Scott; five siblings, Mike Wayne Johnson, Bill Lee Johnson, Cora Sue Burns, Charles Ray Johnson, Jodi Johnson; and by her grandson, Steven Cobb.
Judy leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, hard work, and deep devotion to her family and faith.
Judy was employed for many years as a housekeeper at Best Western, where she was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in a job well done. She served others with humility and care, never seeking recognition, yet earning the respect of coworkers and guests alike.
Above all else, Judy was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she poured her love into caring for them, supporting them, and celebrating their lives. Time spent with her grandchildren brought her great joy, and she cherished every moment with them.
Judy was a woman of Baptist faith and a faithful member of Star of Bethlehem Church. Her faith guided her life and provided comfort and strength through all seasons. She lived her beliefs through kindness, perseverance, and a servant's heart.
Judy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the quiet ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service honoring Judy Scott will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Josh Durham and Johnny Shell officiating. Interment will follow at the Andes Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 beginning at 6;00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Shawn Cobb, Michah Nicholson, Darren Shell, Matthew Evans, Bobby Scott and Caleb Cowan. The honorary pallbearers are Jerry Houck, Tommy Scott Jr., Shawn Scott, Jason Scott, Hayden Scott and Jamie Howard. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
