Judy Spragg 82, of Orange, passed away on June 19, 2024, at her nephew's home, surrounded by her family. Judy was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara and Patricia Belbusti and Jacqueline Spragg. Loving aunt of Frank (Jill) Belbusti Jr., George D. (Gina) Belbusti, Gina (Rob) Bohan, all of Orange, and Kim Zabilowski of West Haven and the late Lynne Belbusti. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Judy was born in New Haven on September 12, 1941, daughter of the late Howard and Lena Lavorgna Spragg. Prior to her retirement, Judy was an administrator for the U.S. Postal Service and served her country faithfully in the Army.
Family and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, MONDAY, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call MONDAY from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 420560 Washington DC 20042-0560. I had the honor and pleasure to work with Judy at the New Haven, CT Post Office. Judy was in Labor Relations and I was the local union president - APWU. We had our differences but Judy was fair, had great integrity, and had the ability to resolve grievances and other workplace matters. Rest In Peace Judy and smile down upon us all from time to time.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Judy. I started my Postal career as a Mail Handler,in 1967 and retired in 2009. I remember Judy very well. I thought that she was very fair and got the job done. I had no issues with her. So sorry for your loss.

I worked with Judy at The Brewery Street Post Office in the late 1960's an early 70's. She was always friendly and a dedicated worker. May She Rest In Peace.
